Posting Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia is seeking a Research Scientist to conduct laboratory research in the department's Neurobiology section. Current NIDA-funded research projects focus on investigating brain mechanisms involved in drug addiction using rodent self-administrative models as well as research on sex differences in the neurobiology of cocaine addiction.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biology or related field and at least 3 years' experience in research focusing on rodent models and behavior, preferably in neurobiological mechanisms of cocaine addiction.
