The Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Developmental Services is currently seeking a temporary part-time Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The LPN will provide clinical and medical se! rvices support to Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Registered Nurses (RN) in a community MHSA services setting. Successful candidate will provide client services to meet requirements for Meaningful Use implementation (e.g., vital signs and H&P specifics), as well as medication and related services (e.g., PAP applications and medication authorizations). Work schedule will be Monday-Friday with evening hours, to include at least 1 evening per week. This position is scheduled to work 20 hours/week with a temporary appointment ending 1/31/2014.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia required with two (2) years professional experience, including working with mental health clients.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a trainer for Medication Administration within the first year! of employment.
