Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the primary contact for customers inquiries.

Conduct research necessary for customers and respond accordingly.
Assist with scheduling of site visits.
Enters, manipulates, and retrieves information and data from Composite HealthCare System (CHCS), AHLTA, and the Clinical Information System (CIS) ESSENTRIS.
Transcribes physician and nursing orders involving work, x-rays, radiation therapy, etc. Answer phones, receives patients and visitors in person, and makes appointments.
Determines eligibility for care and contacts Patient Administration for verifications. Acts as point of contact for general hospital information. Maintains confidential patient medical records and monitors schedule of patient appointments for the clinic. Responsible for clerical duties in admission, care and discharge of inpatients.
Types routine correspondence, progress reports.
Supports the Culture of Excellence initiative and adheres to the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital professional stan! dards.
Must be able to work all shifts as the Unit is! a 24/7/365 operation. May be required to work in other Behavioral Health areas to include the inpatient psychiatry, Co-Occurring and the behavioral health clinics.
Take part in unit Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs as required for meeting the Joint Commission standards.
Supervision
Requires moderate supervision and may at times supervise others.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one to two years of administrative support experience in a medical facility is required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations,
Clearance:
All contract service providers shall possess and maintain current course completion documentation for basic life support (BLS) through an American Heart Association.
Computer Skills
Must have working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications as we! ll as experience with Electronic Medical Records.
