Intensive Community Treatment Team (ICTT). This position is with the South County Intensive Community Treatment Team based out of ! the Gartlan Mental Health Center, in the Mount Vernon area of Fairfax County.
The Senior Clinician provides community based psychiatric treatment as part of a 9-member interdisciplinary team that provides rehabilitation, clinical case management, crisis intervention and stabilization, support services, and supportive counseling to persons with serious and persistent mental illness. Recovery-oriented services are provided via individual, side-by-side, family, and group modalities in mostly non-traditional community/outreach venues (e.g., unsheltered settings, homeless shelters, jails, hospitals, client homes, job sites). The Team includes clinical case managers, a substance abuse clinician, a behavioral health nurse, a psychiatrist, and a peer specialist. This position requires eight work hours each day, Monday through Friday, with some evening and occasional weekend hours.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college wi! th at least a master's degree in social work, psychology, coun! seling, or nursing;
plus two years of clinical experience.
Special
Requirements:
Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner. The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, an Office of the Inspector General (OIG) check and a check of the Child Protective Services Registry to the satisfaction of the employer. TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter. Must possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license.
