The Care Partner in Diagnostic Radiology will provide direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the RN or licensed independent practitioner. Level and type of experience PREFERRED Acute care experience as a nursing assistant or aide experience Education/training REQUIRED Completion of state recognized CNA program; OR Completion of first semester junior year in a BSN program dependent upon school curriculum. VCU/MCV BSN students: completion of sophomore year, Nursing 201, 202, 261. Associate Degree and Diploma programs: completion of first year or a minimum of two semesters of basic nursing courses. Specialty areas e.g. pediatrics, women`s health, psychiatry may require completion of a clinical rotation in that area; OR Completion of EMT program; OR Completion of medical assistant program Additional position requirements such as shift rotations, weekends, environment, etc Care Partners work all three shifts, weekends and holidays. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet unit requirements and/or as needed.
