Responsibilities:
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (NP) will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers and other psychiatric nurse practitioners. Research & student mentoring opportunities are available. New and proven therapies are supported. Coordination of care is collaborative and a team approach to treatment is encouraged. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (NP) participate in providing assessments and care to any one of the units described below:
The outpatient Behavioral Health Services provides a broad spectrum of care ranging from couple’s marriage counseling and medication management therapies to Alcohol Substance Abuse Program (ASAP.) Families, individuals and specialized groups are all treated under this service group.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
1 year experience within the last 3 in a similar setting Master's in Psychiatric nursing Board Certification Current, valid license from any US jurisdiction Current valid DEA number
Preferred:
Experience with PTSD Possess or can attain Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA approved program
