Interim Physicians has a locums opportunity for a board certified/eligible Psychiatrist at a state psychiatric hospital in Virginia.
Psychiatry Job Details
The locums physician will be working in the geriatric unit consisting of two treatment teams each following up to 20 patients each. One team is Medicare IPT (Intensive Psychiatric Treatment) and one is Medicaid Intermediate Care. There is a strong focus on comprehensive assessment and looking at the patient's needs upon discharge. The average length of stay for the unit is 30% less than 90 days and 30% with a stay of 91-365 days.
+ 4-5 admissions/discharges per team each month + Monday through Friday + 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. + No call
