The Greater Prince William Community Health Clinic (GPWCHC), is a stellar non-profit medical facility dedicated to serving the unmet healthcare needs of Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park residents. Providing a wide range of health care services including primary care, dental, prenatal and behavioral health services, GPWCHC makes a difference in the lives of area residents everyday. The PT Psychiatrist will be responsible for:

• Performance of psychiatric evaluations, including a thorough symptom history, ordering or performing certain diagnostic tests as necessary, evaluation of the psychosocial and family aspects of the situation sufficient to make a psychiatric health assessment.
• Prescribe medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders with a diverse population of all ages (e.g. 4 years old and up), and backgrounds. Provide follow-up medication management services. Monitor for side effects and other potentially adverse reactions.
• Provide education to patients on psychotropic medications and potential side effects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctor of Medicine from an accredited program
• Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Current Virginia license to practice as a psychiatrist with prescription authority
• Current DEA number, NPI number, and basic life support card
• Must be able to provide clinical supervision
• Experience working with non-SMI patients
