The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences is currently seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support the research activities of the research faculty in its Child and Family Psychiatry division and assist with efficient conduct of research studies and clinical trials. Incumbent works to promote compliance with research grants and contracts, and to assist the Principal Investigator with planning, designing, and implementation of research projects. Responsibilities include coordinating the daily activities necessary to conduct research studies and clinical trials, such as supervision of data collection, writing of research procedures, quality control, and scheduling of research participants. This position is located in the Child and Family Psychiatry clinic on Old Ivy Way with free on-site parking.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to work with human subjects, specifically those under the age of 18.
2. Superior organizational skills.
3. Ability to communicate effectively.
4. Working knowledge of the theory, ethics, and application of the biological sciences and instrumentation related to field of assignment.
5. Ability to plan and execute tasks.
6. Ability to modify and develop laboratory procedures.
7. Working knowledge of managing clinical research protocols.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Required Experience:
Some - up to 4 years
Kind of Required Experience:
At least one year clinical research experience.
