The Mother/Infant Unit is seeking Full-Time Care Partner position. Qualifications: Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment including CPR, etc AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalen! t Level and type of experience PREFERRED Acute care experience as a nursing assistant or aide experience Education/training REQUIRED Completion of state recognized CNA program; OR Completion of first semester junior year in a BSN program dependent upon school curriculum. VCU/MCV BSN students: completion of sophomore year, Nursing 201, 202, 261. Associate Degree and Diploma programs: completion of first year or a minimum of two semesters of basic nursing courses. Specialty areas e.g. pediatrics, women's health, psychiatry may require completion of a clinical rotation in that area; OR Completion of EMT program; OR Completion of medical assistant program Describe independent action(s) required Functions under direction of a licensed independent practitioner, manager and/or RN in providing patient care, emotional support, and problem solving; all in accordance with hospital, nursing and unit policy/procedure. Requires prior approval or guidance from supervisor: time/schedule ch! anges; legal issues; directed care which deviates from standar! d; and identify educational resources to meet developmental needs.
