Further informations about this occupation opportunity kindly see the descriptions. A research coordinator is being sought for the lab of Dr. Moran at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute. Dr. Moran’s work centers on functional neuroimaging in healthy young and elderly populations and in ! clinical patient groups, namely early Alzheimer’s disease patients. The research coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, screening, consenting, assessing, and generally maintaining good communication with research participants and collaborators (specifically psychiatrists at VTCSoM). In addition, the coordinator will be responsible for data collection from various modalities including: fMRI, fNIRS, EEG , genetic samples. Additional duties include organizing project funds, preparing IRBprotocols. The research coordinator is generally responsible for having overall knowledge of all lab projects and managing day-to-day logistics of ongoing lab projects. Training will be provided for all aspects of the position. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in graduate school in cognitive neuroscience and related fields.
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS in psychology, engineering, biology, or related field or equivalent education and exp! erience. Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skil! ls, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MATLAB and statistical analyses. Experience with preparing and implementing IRB protocols. Research experience with human participants. Desire to work in a fast-paced research environment.
