POSITION SUMMARY
To provide care to patients and to supervise Nurse Practitioners in the delivery of psychiatric medication management to patients in skilled nursing facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
- Medical Degree from an accredited School of Medicine.
- Completed Residency in Psychiatry.
- License or eligible to practice medicine in Virginia.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible as Practicing P! sychiatrist
- Current Virginia Drivers License Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of appropriate assessment and evaluation tools and tests, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
- Strong skills in medication management.
- Ability to work with nursing staff in collaborative approach to care
- Ability to utilize EMR system to prepare and maintain appropriate medical record documentation.
