For detail informations about this position opportunity please read the description below. Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers hope and healing for
youth ages 5 to 21 with several psychiatric diagnoses and/or
developmental! disabilities. Located in Portsmouth, Va., Harbor Point
provides intensive, residential treatment to youth in a comfortable
setting that is conducive to healing. Our facility specializes in
treating children and adolescents with depression, bipolar, ADHD, and
other mental health issues. We even have specific treatment programs
for those with intellectual disabilities or those with self-injurious
behavior.
Harbor Point and its programs are fully accredited by The Joint
Commission and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized
Educational Facilities. We are licensed by The Virginia Department of
Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and the Virginia
Department of Education. We are a TRICARE®-approved and certified
facility.
We are currently
seeking a Director of Clinical Operations who
will be responsible for overseeing the day to day clinical
activities, ensuring that the
facility ! and its staff adhere to established clinical protocols and
allocating human resources to meet census needs, ensuring that staff
follow policies and regulatory guidelines and coordination,
implementation and supervision of the delivery of facility
services.
Requirements
A qualified candidate
must be a g raduate of an
accredited school of psychology, social work, professional
counseling, education or medicine with Master’s degree
minimum. Must be l icensed
as a Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker,
Professional Counselor or Psychiatrist in the Commonwealth of
Virginia .
(M.S.W., P.C., Psy.D., Ed.D., Ed.D. (Clinical). (Sex offender experience A
PLUS) Five or more years experience in the delivery of mental health
treatment to children and/or adolescents and three or more years
supervisory experience. Must possess knowledge of milieu management,
group dynamics, in! dividual and family treatment, biological aspects
of psychological illness; demonstrated leadership ability and
skills.
