Description: Colonial Behavioral Health is looking of Nurse III- LPN right now, this position will be presented in Virginia. Individual wanted to provide psychiatric nursing services to persons with mental illness, intellectual disabilities and substance use disorders in conjunction with psychiatrists and nurse practitione! rs employed by the agency.
Related responsibilities include client assessment, service planning, medication administration, client monitoring, client/family medication education, and consultation to staff and other healthcare providers.
Work requires the interpretation, application and implementation of rules, procedures and regulations affecting medical services.
Work involves assisting the medical unit in the assessment, planning and treatment of persons served.
In addition, the LPN will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients who receive psychiatric medication services as their primary mode of treatment.
Responsible for maintaining the health information records of the caseload; according to agency policies and procedures and external regulations.
Must have the ability to interact effectively with the client population; including good listening, therapeutic, communication skills, crisis intervention skills and problem solving.

VA LPN Degree Required. Minimum of one year psychiatric n! ursing and the ability to use a personal computer, document in electronic Health Information software, and ability to use basic office equipment. Salary commensurate with experience.
