Psychiatrists ! must be a graduate of a psychiatric residency with Board eligibility or certification, with post graduate and residency training in psychiatry from ACGME accredited or AMA approved programs.
Hold a current and valid medical license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Hold a current and valid DEA certificate
Scope of Work:
Services may be a combination of on-site services and services provided via telemedicine, as mutually agreed upon. The telemedicine equipment is available at its Headquarters and many of its facilities.
Perform evaluations and provide follow-up recommendations and psycho pharmacological treatment for offenders referred for symptoms which indicate the presence of psychiatric, psychological, behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and/or neurological disorders.
Consult with the Departments Director of Psychiatric Services regarding care of offenders.
Assess whether each offender referred for evaluation h! as a psychiatric disorder
Be responsible for involunt! ary commitment hearings and court-related activities as necessary
Be available got emergency consultations by phone
