Seeking board certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Chair of the Division of Child Psychiatry and Medical Director of the Virginia Treatment Center for Childre! n (VTCC).
Senior clinical, educational, and research leader with broad responsibilities for leadership of faculty, clinical performance of all personnel, and Child Psychiatry Fellowship Program. Large full time faculty of psychiatrists and psychologists. Division Chair will work closely with Department Chair and VTCC Executive Director on building of new fully-funded free-standing 116,000 ft2 32-bed child psychiatry facility which will also include research and a large ambulatory clinic.
Requires minimum five years senior leadership within an academic healthcare facility. Demonstrated research and publications activities and excellence in teaching. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. The department of psychiatry has over 75 full-time faculty, 39 residents, multiple fellowships and research centers including separate addiction and genetics rese! arch centers. Richmond, the State Capitol, has moderate climat! e and rich mix of history, a diverse multicultural community, excellent housing, and public/private schools, all at an attractive cost of living.
