For complete informations about this occupation opportunity kindly see the descriptions. 12-134 Psychiatrist (full-time): This position performs medical, diagnostic, and treatment services for the agency's outpatients receiving services. The successful candidate will possess a through knowledge of: the principles, standards, practices and techniques related to psychiatry; the characteristics and precautions to be taken in the administration of psychotropic medication; and the principles, practices and techniques related to individual therapy and counseling practices for the mentally ill. W! ill also possess the ability to: accurately maintain patient m! edical records and prepare reports in compliance with licensure regulations; establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals, physicians, subordinates and others contacted in the course of work. Licensed to practice medicine in Virginia.
Completion of an approved residency in psychiatry required. Board Certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry preferred. Demonstrated experience in community mental health/substance abuse/intellectual disabilities preferred; experience with adolescents over the age of thirteen preferred. Computer skills required.
Valid Virginia driver's license with acceptable driving record required. Hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Annual salary: Negotiable + benefits.
