Title Commissary Day Stocker
Division: Contract Services
Purpose of the Position
The day stocker works under the direction of the Project Manager and is responsible for preparing the store for the next shift. The Commissary Stocker is responsible for stocking and ensuring that all delivery items make it off of the pallet and into their designated areas. Must be able to obtain and maintain access to the military base.
Responsibilities
1. Job Duties:
- Consolidate and organize pallets from deliver truck
- Transport product from the warehouse to the sales floor
- Drop/Stage product to its designated aisle and in its proper locations
- Replenish shelves, end caps and displays with missing products
- Rotate products on the shelves
- Check for and remove expired merchandise from shelves
- Face items on shelves
- Unload products from the delivery trucks
- Put products on shelves and maintain a clean work area
- Observe company's safety rules and guidelines
- Know the department and its products
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform other tasks as deemed feasible by Supervisor
Safety Responsibilities
In addition to complying with the guidelines for all employees:
- Comply with all Fed eral, State, and Local regulatory standards and procedures
- Ensure that applicable personal protective equipment is available, in proper operating condition, and used for each job performed
- Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition and that all safe guards are in place
- Immediately report accident, incidents/near misses to Project Manager
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Have a proven work history and be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen. Previous grocery or foodservice experience will be considered a plus.
Position Requirements
Must submit background check prior to hire and ongoing as dictated by contract. Must be able to pass criminal and drug screening processes to meet current contract legibility requirements that apply or become applicable for the contract.
