High Level position for Seasoned Behavioral Health Administrator - Bon Secours Hospital System, Richmond VA.
Responsible for the overall operation of assigned Beh! avioral Health program(s). Major role functions include managing, directing and delegating patient care, education, clinical program, consultation and resource, human resource management, and financial management. Requires 24-hour accountability.
Additional responsibilities include:
Directs the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.
Directs the admissions staff and intake office.
Responsible for financial performance of inpatient and outpatient services.
Serves as the primary liaison for Diamond Healthcare Corporation to assigned hospital.
Oversees a public relations and community outreach process.
Engages in community outreach to enhance the reputation and growth of the clinical programs.
Coordinates the preparation for all regulatory licensure surveys and JCAHO surveys.
Coordinate the adequate psychiatric coverage of behavioral health services.
Participates in strateg! ic planning for development of new/expanded physical facilitie! s.
Develops and maintains a full continuum of care between staff and patients.
Oversees the Utilization Review and Quality Management function of the assigned program(s).
Directs and uses Diamond Corporate support services to enhance quality of care and program operations.
Participates in the recruitment of psychiatrists.
Provides direct patient services when needed.
Requirements include:
Master's Degree in healthcare related field required. Secondary Master's in Business Administration helpful.
Five years supervisory experience in a hospital healthcare environment.
Excellent interpersonal relations with internal and external customers at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
Strong commuter skills (i.e MS Windows, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, Internet).
