Description: VCU Health System is looking of Care Partner right now, this vacancy will be reside in Virginia. Cardiothoracic Surgery is a surgical telemetry unit providing intermediate and general care for cardiology, postoperative cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, plastic surgery, and urology surge! ry patients. Specialty populations include postoperative coronary artery bypass graft patients and postoperative Thoracotomy patients. Care is provided by registered nurses and care partners. Telemetry monitoring is provided continuously by cardiac monitor technicians.

Qualified candidates must satisfy at least one of the following requirements:
Education/training REQUIRED: Completion of state recognized CNA program; OR Completion of first semester junior year in a BSN program dependent upon school curriculum. VCU/MCV BSN students: completion of sophomore year, Nursing 201, 202, 261. Associate Degree and Diploma programs: completion of first year or a minimum of two semesters of basic nursing courses. Specialty areas e.g. pediatrics, women's health, psychiatry may require completion of a clinical rotation in that area; OR Completion of EMT program; OR Completion of medical assistant program
Licen! sure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continue! d employment including CPR, etc: AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Level and type of experience PREFERRED: Acute care experience as a nursing assistant or aide experience
Shift REQUIRED: Rotating.
