Dunn School of Pharmacy invites applications for a Assistant/Associate Professor level posi! tion based at the Ashburn Campus. The Ashburn campus is housed in the state-of-the-art Innovation Hall on the grounds of The George Washington University Virginia Science and Technology campus in Ashburn, Virginia and located approximately 60 minutes from the Winchester campus and 40 minutes from Washington D.C. This position emphasizes pharmacy practice and patient care in the Novant Health, Prince William Medical Center.
The primary responsibilities of the faculty member will be the provision of clinical pharmacy services within the Behavioral Health Department. The faculty member will also serve as a preceptor for IPPE and APPE students. Practice responsibilities will encompass inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment, in addition to activities of medication therapy management and improving the medication use process. Didactic teaching will occur within the Integrated Care and Science courses, Shenandoah’s therapeutics course sequen! ce, but may also occur in other courses.
The faculty ! member will be expected to participate in academic and community service, and research and scholarship.
